WA's anti-GM legislation is about to be repealed.
For those that don't know-
We fought against the introduction of GMO's in WA only to have the Greens, the permaculturists, local community groups and government of all levels attack us. I was possibly the only person who could have made a difference to GM coming in or not. I had the largest seedbank of rare vegetable seeds in WA and WA lost many of it's varieties. All because we were not supported - we were opposed due to people's fragile egos and large corporate interests.
Well, now WA has to suffer the consequences of those decisions. Not my fault, I tried like hell.
The people of WA have been taken for ride by it's government which is in business partnership with the GMO companies. This is NOT sustainable food production. It's a dangerous experiment and a profit making exercise for government and its big business buddies.
All the time the government was saying they had no interest in GM wheat research - while at the same time funding a GM wheat research facility in Merridin.
WAKE UP, WA people! You've been conned. All life is at risk here. GMO's won't respect state borders. Does anyone care what they eat? Is anyone awake?

Liberal and Labor
Liberal and Labor's media companies are both owned by the same company, STW Group.
The Liberal party uses Barton Deakin and the Labor Party uses Hawker Britton both owned by STW Group. This might explain why the changing of the guard seems so familiar.
On the GMO front, one of STW Groups board-members, Paul Richardson, also sits on the board of WPP Group PLC - the worlds largest public relations and advertising company – which also has Johnson & Johnson as one of it's clients through a subsidiary Burson-Marsteller.
Past/existing clients of Burson-Marsteller include: Procter and Gamble, Du Pont, Coca-Cola, GlaxoSmithKline, Union Carbide, Phillip Morris, Apple, Sun, Facebook, Ford Motor Company, Shell, ExxonMobil and Blackwater.
Burson-Marsteller also handled the PR for Union Carbide's Bhopal disaster and for Babcock & Wilcox, following the Three Mile Island accident in 1979.

Permafraud!
I've uncovered some amazing pieces of what I now call permafraud.
Permaculturists taking Australian government funding (the Australian government is in business partnership with Monsanto) and one their teachers actually taking direct funding from the Monsanto fund!
Check it out for yourself here http://centreforcss.blogspot.com.au/2015/07/toc.html

Here we go again! GM in Australia's food.
Just heard that Bayer has applied in all commercial canola growing regions of Australia to release GM canola.
What?
You read correctly - all commercial canola growing regions of Australia!
Our local shire (Donnybrook-balingup) decides again tonight if they are to allow this to take place in the shire.
The meeting is at 5.00pm tonight at council chambers in Donnybrook.
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) have already approved the use of GM canola and products derived from GM canola in food for human and animal use.
Has all the world gone insane?

A precedent has been set - This one's for Steve Marsh!
This precedent could interest a few people.
A US court has ruled that an organic farm can claim damages for losses caused by GM particulate matter and it's associated herbicides and pesticides.
This links for you, Steve, hope it helps!

Here's the problem
For those people who don't know what all the fuss is about with GM maybe this can help :
"It is now virtually impossible for a U.S. farmer to grow crops of their choosing (corn, soybeans, canola, etc.) and remain GMO-free because of the numerous biological and human means by which seeds can spread." - Grow-Switch site.

We have the chance to Stop GM in WA now before it pollutes too much and we chould nip it in the bud now before it's too late.We need a complete ban on GM crops and research in Australia. Stop GM - we don't need to follow the US and learn the terrible lesson again!

Make Terry eat GM!
Oh, that's just great! The office of the electoral distribution commisioners has just proposed to change the electoral boundaries so that we will then have the state agriculture minister Terry Redman as our local MP. This is the man who while head of the Department of Agriculture (and head of the Ag College at Denmark) decided to let GM into the state.
The shire of Donnybrook-Balingup will go into his electorate.
I, for one, won't be voting for you Terry. In fact why don't you go on a GM Only diet and we can see how long you live for since it's supposedly safe. Also since you made the decision to let it into WA how about you take on some of the liability for any cleanup bill for our environment while you're at it!
